everything looks thoughtful ,cute & sticks out nicely but you start the game simulating being Christopher Columbus basically ,at least thats how it felt lol & thats pretty much an immediate turn off ,im positive it gets somewhat better from there but i still preferred to not find out for myself ,hope you understand.

You're absolutely right that the opening might give that kind of "colonial" vibe – definitely not our intention, but we see how it could feel that way. War of Arcane Empires is set in a fully fictional world of magic and ancient ruins, but we agree the intro could use more clarity and context to avoid misunderstandings.

imo either focus on the practicality in the game if its hard to think up a story beat to it (which is sad lol) or really get into it ,look up archetypes & belief systems & all that fictional mumbo jumbo that gets the kids inspired to make up their own fantasy stories ig...
Hey! Appreciate the feedback — just to clarify, the story actually begins with your castle being stolen by a villain and your mission is to reclaim what's yours. It's not about colonization or conquest, but recovery and justice.
